The vision of this program was to build a program where other suppliers had failed in staffing rural outlets across Western Canada (BC, AB, SK, MB). In order for JWR to achieve this task, the following was executed:
- A tenured District Manager was assigned to the program with the vision of developing a new rural and travel based team
- JWR constructed mapping of the rural outlets and developed a critical path to optimal coverage
- Multiple compensation models were created to manage staffing in areas that had traditionally high wage costs (i.e. Northern Alberta)
- A new on-line training program was created to administer talent onboarding in cost prohibitive travel areas
- A new recruiting tool was created to ensure staffing could be viewed via web based software prior to hiring
- A new application delivery method was created to manage paper applications from rural sources
- JWR assisted in introducing tablet based electronic applications in select test markets
- This allowed for near real time delivery of electronic applications
This new launch was to take place over 3 quarters with both coverage and velocity goals in place. JWR was able to successfully meet all targets outlined in the launch critical path and exceeded expectations at all 3 milestones. Today, JWR continues to cover these very challenging markets and leads all other suppliers in exposure and indexed net performance.
